So sorry I haven't posted in a while things with college have been quite interesting.  I only have four of the six books I need for college because their online bookstore ran out!! I hope they arrive soon!!  Other than the book situation college is going smoothly!! My first assignment was in Botany we had to take a Learning Styles Inventory test online and have it printers to turn in on Monday ( yes Clarendon College is in session on Labor Day !:( what a BUMMER) I guess that just brings me a day closer to my degree!! Oh and by the way I got my wireless printer hooked up so I can now print with AirPrint off my iPhone/IPad!

EEEK... First Day of Class is Tomorrow!!

Just kidding!!! Haha!  No really the first day of class is tomorrow morning at 9:00AM!  I am so excited!   I went today and someone showed me where all my classes are!! All my classes are in the same building so there won't be any "oh Jessie just got lost again!"  I also got my student I.D. card today (no make-up and the picture wasn't even half bad I guess it's just my awesome genes!). Three of my books have yet to make an appearance at my doorstep uh oh!  I hope the books come in soon!! I know I should really be trying to settle in for bed but sleep just won't come!! So all this getting ready college also means that I've had to change my hours around at work.  I have decided to try and make it easier on myself by working 4 days a week 5 hours a day.  Changing my schedule will make my life a lot easier!

Helping Hands and Mixed Feelings all Mixed in with Readiness to Start College!

Wow! Not waking up at 5 in the morning to go to basketball practice was so strange!!! I think I'm really going to miss that!! Other than that I am pretty glad that I didn't have to wake up that early!! As I am sitting here in the quiet house I find myself so READY to get this college thing launched off!! I just put all my classes, dates and times in my iPhone calendar!  I am now just itching to get started!!

Beginning of a New School Year: The Stresses and the Blessings

The beginning college is looming ever so close!! I am so excited, but still a bit apprehensive!  As a lot of people know I am a Cashier at Wal-Mart for the time being and I see all these people from different walks of life, from even different countries, with different financial backgrounds coming through my line stressing about this new school year. When I see all these people and what they are struggling with it takes me back to a time when I was in their shoes.  I am so blessed to have been able to receive the financial assistance I needed to be able to attend college and obtain my dream goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher with as little monetary stress as possible!! My little brother will be a Junior in high school and I will be a Freshman in college WOW!! How the time goes by!

I had a pretty quiet day at my sister's house with the kids today!! I got up early this morning and made it there by 6 A.M.  Brandy had to be at the daycare by 7.  When I got to her house she and Destiny were already up!! Brandy said they were up because Destiny had nightmares about vampires all night long and couldn't  sleep...poor girl!! So when Brandy left I was finally able to get Destiny back to bed around 9.  She kind of woke up at around 10ish so I could give her some medicine( she wasn't feeling so well today). After sleepily taking the medicine she slept until 11:30.  Mister Adrian was up soon after Des went to bed at around 10ish  here are some pictures!!

Here's to my Past, Present, and Future!

Wow!!! I don't know what I'm going to blog about when I'm done watching my niece and nephew!!!  What is said about listening to both the very young and very old is so true!! I feel that "we the people" of the right here and right now sometimes forget how important it is to keep an ear in the past and our eyes on the future!! So if anyone is wondering that is what I have learned from Destiny and Adrian!! So if anyone feels like this generation or the next are losing touch with their surroundings due to technology or changing times,  just take a moment to STOP, LOOK, AND LISTEN!  I've got an early morning ahead of me so GOOD NIGHT!!

So I'm watching Destiny and Adrian again today!!:) they just amaze me everyday!! Destiny is so smart, she will be in Kindergarten this year!!! Adrian starts Pre-K he isn't so excited about it right now!!:) Destiny absolutely loves school and I'm sure once it all starts Adrian will too!! Natalie is just as sweet as can be!! She started at the Daycare last week her mommy is her teacher!!! As you all know with kids when you have a conversation with them you never really know where it's going to go!! This morning I made Mac n Cheese and we went from talking about how cheesy it was then we ended up talking about how God lives in our hearts Destiny said "Adrian God lives in our hearts do he eats everything that we eat!" Goodness I Love it!! So, in the words of Miss Destiny "watch what you eat because God has to eat it too!"

College!!!

So, like I said I will be starting college in a few days.  Unlike a lot of the kids that I graduated with last year I am in no rush to leave Pampa!!!!

My theory is that when you find a place that you really love living in why leave??  Well unless of course you're going out of the country to a place like ((AFRICA)) or something then I say JUST GO!!

I'm going to college to become a kindergarten teacher!! I'm so super excited!! Im going to get my Associates degree and some of my Bachelor's degree in education finished at Clarendon College Pampa Center.  Then, I will transfer to WT in Canyon to finish my Bachelor's degree in Education.  All I need to become a kindergarten teacher is the Bachelor's degree but, I have chosen to get my Master Degree in instruction!  So, in six years I plan to be finished!! 

First day of Blog!

So I decided today is the day that I am going to start a new blog!! 

I'm not sure what I want to blog about yet...you can be sure that there will be plenty of pictures!! I've been babysitting my nieces and nephews for a few days now and here are a few pics!!!

Oh and there is only a few more days until I start my very first semester at college I can't believe that time has flown by this quickly!!!  I have decided that I want to become a Kindergarten Teacher because I love children!!!
